High Point Chapter

Rib Lake Segment

The former off-road path from CTH-C heading west to Harper Dr. will no longer be part of the Ice Age Trail. The IAPTF and its partners hope to open an alternative off-road section between CTH-C and Harper Dr. in the future.

Parking is still available on the 30-acre, IAPTF-owned Rusch Preserve. The Preserve is located on the west side of CTH-C. Foot travel is welcome on the Rusch Preserve, but do NOT wander beyond its boundaries.

When hiking this segment from east to west, upon reaching CTH-C, cross the road to explore the Rusch Preserve, or continue along the Ice Age Trail by turning right and following CTH-C north for a quarter mile to Rustic Rd. #1. Turn left and follow Rustic Rd. #1 west. After about a half mile, you will see the Timm’s Hill Trail to your right, heading north toward Wisconsin’s highest point (full description in side trail section, below). Continue for another 1.5 miles to the intersection of Rustic Rd. #1 and Harper Dr. Turn left onto Harper Dr. and follow it south for approximately one mile, then turn right to resume off-road Ice Age Trail hiking.
