Lakeshore Chapter
The Lakeshore Chapter was formed in 2007 when volunteers from the Door/Kewaunee County, Manitowoc County and North Kettle Moraine chapters of the Ice Age Trail Alliance (then the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation) decided to merge into one large chapter. Chapter members work to support the mission and goals of the IATA by promoting, planning, building and maintaining the Ice Age Trail. Take a look at the chapter newsletter, ShoreLines, to see what they have been up to. It is usually distributed twice a year (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter).
Hikes and work days are scheduled at various locations throughout the year. In addition to the group activities listed in our calendar of events (click on the “Events Calendar” link on the left), the Lakeshore Chapter encourages individual participation through our hiker shuttle service, “Hall of Kamers” hiking program, and the “ColdCache” geological treasure hunt program. To get more information on chapter activities, small projects and/or hiking the Ice Age Trail in this region, contact one of the volunteer chapter co-coordinators:
