Come one, come all! Statewide trail construction project, south-central Wisconsin
We would love to see you at this statewide, long-weekend trail-building project:

Cross Plains Segment, Dane County
July 16th-19th
Ice Age Trail Atlas Map 65f

Create, support and protect — the Ice Age Trail Alliance's mission statement comes to bear at all Mobile Skills Crew projects. This event in the Village of Cross Plains promises to be a multifaceted blockbuster.

Come on out for all or any part of the event...whatever amount of time your schedule permits is valuable to us. We'll feed you and, if you are interested in helping for multiple days, provide a place to camp close to the work site.

Participants interested in trail building will receive hands-on training in advanced trail construction techniques by volunteer crew leaders as part of our Mobile Skills Crew program. No experience is necessary! If trail building isn't your cup of tea, we have plenty of other roles for you, including volunteer support and event publicity.

Please click here for registration and project details. Preregistration is key to helping us plan the project with your needs in mind.

Give us a call (800-227-0046) or send us an email (info@iceagetrail.org) with any additional questions about the project.

Grand Opening of Ice Age Trail Alliance's New Main Office Building
The Ice Age Trail Alliance has taken a big step forward over the past year by establishing a new main office at 2110 Main Street in Cross Plains, WI. The new office allows nearly all our staff members to work together under the same roof, is located directly on route of the Ice Age Trail and is located in a community that has welcomed us warmly.

We hope you'll join us on July 18th as we officially open the office with a brief ceremony and open house.

5 PM Welcome
5:15 PM Ribbon-Cutting
5:15-6:15 PM Open House

The event coincides with a Mobile Skills Crew project that weekend in the Cross Plains area, during which volunteers from around the state and beyond will be gathering to craft a new segment of the Ice Age Trail. See http://www.iceagetrail.org/msccalendar.htm for more info.

We look forward to seeing you there!

NEW statewide event: Chillin' on the Ice Age Trail
We hope you'll join us the weekend of July 31st-August 2nd for an exciting new event — "Chillin' on the Ice Age Trail".

The purpose of the event is to provide a cool opportunity for Ice Age Trail fans to introduce their families and friends to the Ice Age Trail. We'll gather at the Mondeaux Flowage (Chequamegon National Forest, Taylor County near Medford) for a weekend of fun, food and friends. Specific activities include the kickoff of our ColdCaching program (an earth-science educational program for exploring, discovering and enjoying Ice Age Trail treasures), guided hikes, informational presentations and activities featuring art, photography and geology.

Volunteers are the backbone of this event. We welcome anyone who wants to lend a hand. Contact volunteer Leah Bradley (414-760-7976, haelyeldarb4@bluefrog.com) if you'd like to get involved.
