Marquette County Chapter

MARQUETTE COUNTY
Marquette County is the land of John Muir's boyhood and youth. The Green Bay Lobe covered the entire county during the Wisconsin Glaciation.

In 1990 Fountain Lake Farm was named a National Historic Landmark.

The first Ice Age Trail segment in the county was marked at John Muir County Park in 2003. The Trail will eventually connect to Buffalo Lake and Chaffee Creek.
