Hemlock Creek Segment

About 1/2 mile south of Pigeon Creek, there is a temporary logging bridge spanning an unnamed creek with severely eroded approaches. High water and danger of further slumping with mud slides make this water crossing hazardous. It is recommended hikers use Loch Lomond Road and East Lake Shore Drive between Finohorn Road and 26 1/2 Avenue. Access to and from the Ice Age Trail can be obtained using 26 1/2 Avenue, which is a forest road. The Barron County Forestry Department is instructing the logging contractor to correct the condition.
