Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter

WASHINGTON COUNTY

The Ice Age Trail is in the Kettle Moraine along its entire route through the county. Several famous kames, such as Holy Hill, Powder Hill and the Polk Kames, dominate this narrow landscape.

From south to north, the Trail passes through the Loew Lake State Forest, past Holy Hill, through Pike Lake State Forest, downtown Slinger, Ridge Run County Park, and the City of West Bend before reaching the Milwaukee River and Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. The views are spectacular from the many hilltops. Look for Kewaskum and Cambellsport to the north, Dundee Mountain and the Kettle Moraine State Forest to the northeast and West Bend to the south.
