Chippewa Moraine National Trails Day Hike

June 3 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Celebrate Trails Day on an awesome section of Ice Age Trail in Chippewa County! It’s a national day of celebrating trails and getting out to enjoy them, and it would be hard to find a more scenic trail than the section heading west from County Highway E through Camp Nawakwa and into the Chippewa County Forest. Spectacular overlooks, mature forest, and the a long meander along the shore of Picnic Lake are highlights of this recently rebuilt and rerouted section.

Join us at 9 AM at the Ice Age Trailhead at 25111 County Highway E, just south of Camp Nawakwa. See Map. Bring water and snack, mosquito and tick defense; wear socks, long pants, and sleeves; and bring a friend!

Registering is optional: send email.
