National Public Lands Day and Ice Age Trail Stewardship
September 30 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Celebrate National Public Lands Day with REI and the Ice Age Trail Alliance by volunteering for a trailbuilding workday on a badly worn section of the Lodi-Marsh Segment.
Meet at 9:00am at the Twin Pines parking lot on Lodi-Springfield Rd. Click here for map to trailhead. The Ice Age Trail Alliance Dane County and Lodi chapters will provide tools and REI will supply snacks, beverages, and giveaways.
Please dress appropriately for grubby, outdoor work by wearing long work pants, long-sleeved shirt, gloves and a hat. Sunscreen, bug spray or raingear may be appropriate. Closed toe shoes and socks are mandatory. Important: a good amount of poison ivy is scattered all over the project site. Please dress appropriately by covering your skin with long pants and a long-sleeved shirt.
