Waukesha Milwaukee Chapter Tyke Hike

July 13, 2016 @ 6:00 pm

Free

Slide1Forests provide a home for many animals, birds, and insects; give us a place to hike and camp; and help keep our air clean. Forests have huge impacts on Wisconsin’s past, present and future. Come take a walk in the woods to learn about forests and all the things they do for us!

Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend. Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes promoting nature and family hiking. They typically take 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles. Tyke Hikes are led by Peter Dargatz, a Forest Kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer. Post-hike educational materials and certificates for children will be provided.

Please meet at the Powder Hill parking lot in Pike Lake State Park. Dress appropriately for the weather. Water and bug spray are recommended. A Wisconsin State Parks sticker is required.
