Trail Happenings!

GET OUT: Hikes

Boost your happiness; immerse yourself in a healthy dose of nature (vitamin Green!).

Dane County Chapter, Cross Plains Segment: Birding Hike

Early spring mornings are the time to see and hear migrating and newly-arrived birds of the woodlands, savanna and prairie habitats along the loop in the highlands above Cross Plains. Bring binoculars; hike leader will help identify avian friends!

Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter, Hartland Segment: Tyke Hike

The little ones will be exploring the Trail as it winds through the Village of Hartland. Tyke Hikes are slower-paced, family-friendly hikes focused on exploration, discovery, and natural play. They last approximately 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles.

GIVE BACK: Trail Improvement Days

Purposeful, feel-good exercise for your heart and soul!

Dane County Chapter, Table Bluff Segment: Garlic Mustard Control

Garlic mustard be gone!  Bring your gloves and a strong desire to rid the Trail of nasty invasives!

Walworth/Jefferson County Chapter, Kettle Moraine State Forest: Trail Improvement Day

Help refresh the Trail. Bring gloves and water. Plenty of handsaws and clippers for clearing brush.

Chippewa Moraine Chapter, Chippewa Moraine Segment: Trail Improvement Day

The centerpiece of today’s improvement will be to replace a large number of deck boards on the Three Sisters Boardwalk. There will be some other tasks as well, and probably all of them risk the chance of wet feet so wear or bring rubber boots if you have them.

Rock County Chapter, Janesville Trail Community: Trail Improvement Day

We’re continuing the fantastic work we started last year at Jeffris Park clearing buckthorn! Bring gloves and a desire to rid the Trail of this invasive!

Happy Trails!

Enjoy a great weekend!
