The Ice Age Trail is built and maintained largely by volunteers. The Ice Age Trail Alliance is the nonprofit organization that helps organize, support and train these volunteers. Though the IATA receives some operational support from the National Park Service and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the large majority of our funding comes from private donors who recognize the value of our work and the value of preserving Wisconsin's glacial heritage forever.

We'll note your gift in the "Milestones" section of our quarterly magazine Mammoth Tales. For in-honor-of gifts, we'll send a letter to notify the honored person of your gift. For in-memory-of gifts, we'll send a letter to notify a friend or family member of your gift at your direction. You'll also receive a letter from us acknowledging your generosity.
