Join us for a candlelight ski on the Ice Age Trail and other trails at Pike Lake.  Various distances available.  Ski or snowshoe if snow.  Walk if no snow.  Warming shelter will be open with snacks and information.  Lots of fun at this popular annual event.  Co-sponsored by Friends of Pike Lake State Park.  A State Park sticker is required.

State park is located between Slinger and Hartland just south of Hwy 60.  Meet at beach parking area.

  Marathon County Snowshoe Hike
Meet at Helf Road Trailhead orCar pool from Does & Arrows Bar & Grill, R13085 CTH N by 9:45 
Public Welcome
Loop starting and ending at the Helf Road trailhead and a longer hike (about 3½ miles total) to Mole
Brook Road and back. 
Snowshoes will be available for rental ($2.00/pair).  Hot beverages will be
provided after the hike.   The trailhead, on Helf Road, is 13½ miles east of Wausau, just off of CTH N.  
Driving Directions:  From WI 29 take CTH J (Weston, exit 177) north to CTH N (about 5 mi).  Turn right (east). Does and Arrows.  Helf Road is another 5¾ miles east on N (7½ miles from J).  Since there is limited roadside parking at Helf Road, we encourage participants to park at Does & Arrows (upper lot) and carpool from there.
An optional lunch at Does and Arrows will follow the event.  The Bar & Grill opens at 11:30.  Hikers & friends are encouraged to join us there (Dutch Treat) after the hike.

The annual meeting is a good time to take part in chapter decisions on a variety of items, including officer elections, trail activities and future direction.   Superior Lobe Chapter Timberland Hills Segment Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

4th Annual Timberland Hills Segment Full Moon Snowshoe Hike. Trekers will meet at the Cumberland Area Ski Touring Association (CASTA) lighted ski trail parking lot on Barron County Highway "H" north of Cumberland. Participants will snowshoe about 2.5 miles to the CASTA warming house where snacks will be served before the group is shuttled back to the parking lot. A limited number of snowshoes will be available for free use for those who call Don Erickson (715-354-3827) in advance.

  Moonlight Snowshoe Hike at Chippewa Moraine
Join Chippewa Moraine Naturalist Rod Gont on a moonlight snowshoe hike at 7 PM. Come early for a program about snowshoes at 6:30. Snowshoes are available, but call ahead to reserve a pair. Warming fires, hot water and cocoa, for afterwards (bring your own cups, tea, whatever). Hike is 1 hour or 2 hours as you wish.

South West Bend Segment - Hike 3.5 miles one way or 7.0 miles round trip.  Meet at the Culver’s parking lot on Hwy 33 in West Bend.  Shuttle to the IAT parking lot at Paradise Drive then hike back to the restaurant for ice cream.  Hike is rated moderate due to hills and distance.  Trail may have mud and or snow.  Plan accordingly.

We will go up, over, and down the county’s highest point.  The tower at the top provides a beautiful view. Meet at Evergreen Commons,  just inside the park entrance. The park is located on County C one mile south of I-94, just south of downtown Delafield.  We will end at Hwy 18 for a distance of 3.6 miles. Free return shuttle provided.
