Be MINDFUL – Saturday, May 19, 2018

Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Ice Age Trail Alliance, Be Mindful, Trailtessa, Force of Nature, REI corporate partner

Be Mindful. Celebrate the gentle beauty of spring and your rightful place on the planet with a mindfulness hike. Be Kind. Relate to yourself, and Mother Earth, with respect and kindness as you stay focused on the present moment. Photo by Dave Caliebe.

As women, our gender conditioning trains us to discount our own experience, give away our power to others, strive to be pleasing and perfect, and depend on others for validation and approval. A recipe for unhappiness, breeding self-doubt, anxiety, and depression.

Be Connected. Tune into that blissful, dreamy place inside. Like the Trail itself, unfolding ahead, you’ll simply be: natural, peaceful, mindful. Photo by James Mills.

Be Awake. Pay attention to the vivid colors of spring, the textures of trees, grass, and trail.

Be Vibrant. Feel the wind and sunshine on your skin, listen for bird calls. Photo by Daryn Bahn.

Breathe. Expand. Relax. Be who you are at the core of your being.
