Planned Giving

We all have something to share. Legacy gifts reflect the values you feel are important for those that follow you. Most of us cannot make major gifts during our lifetime, but at our death, even a small bequest can have a substantial impact and provide long-term benefits to the Alliance. When you arrange a legacy gift to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, you are helping to ensure that the Ice Age Trail will be here for future generations.

“That’s not enough. We want to make a greater impact and leave a legacy.” Roy and Susie are long-time members of the Ice Age Trail Alliance, and their gift to the Alliance at their deaths will continue their legacy and benefit many generations after them.

Gifts by Bequest

Make a charitable bequest as part of your estate planning. You can simply include language in your will or trust.

Retirement Plan Beneficiary

Your hard-earned retirement assets will make the work of the Alliance possible for years to come. Naming the Ice Age Trail Alliance as a beneficiary of your retirement assets can also result in significant tax savings.

Gifts that Produce Income

Make a gift today and receive income for life. A charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust lets you leave a meaningful gift to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, receive income from the assets and realize potentially significant tax benefits.

Other Giving Options

There are more opportunities to leave a legacy to the Ice Age Trail, including gifts of stocks and bonds, real estate, or a life insurance policy. Speak with your financial advisor to discuss additional giving options.

Acknowledging Your Gift

Acknowledging your contribution to the long-term vision for the Trail and the Alliance is important to us. The Alliance’s Bur Oak Legacy Society recognizes your commitment to support the Ice Age Trail Alliance through your estate plans.

Please let us know about your plans, so we can thank you appropriately. Contact Mike Wollmer at mike@iceagetrail.org or (800) 227-0046.
