The Hike

   Join us as we explore and identify spring wildflowers along the Ice Age Trail and other trails at the beautiful Dells of the Eau Claire County Park.  We’ll walk a loop, 2 to 2 ½ miles total, and plan to be back at the parking lot by around noon.  The route includes rocky areas and stone stairs, especially near the river.     

Event Details

Dress for the weather.  Bring water and your preferred sun / insect protection.  You may, if you have one, want to bring a Wisconsin Wildflowers guide / app and camera as well!  Poles, if you use them, should have rubber tips.

Pets must be leashed, and willing to wait patiently as we stop to explore the wildflowers along our route.

We will definitely have some fun identifying the wildflowers and their unique features.

The Dells of the Eau Claire County Park is located near Aniwa in northeastern Marathon County:   Find it on Google Maps

We’ll gather in the beach parking lot.  As you near the park, follow the yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs!
