Chippewa Moraine Trail Cleanup Day-REDUX

April 25, 2018 @ 9:00 am

Free

Our annual spring cleanup on the trail is planned for Wednesday, April 25. It’s our annual chance to whip the trail into shape for spring hiking and especially the Chippewa 50K UltraMarathon, coming up on Saturday, April 28, and the Trailtessa event the same weekend. There are always a lot of branches and downed trees to clear after the winter storms. We’ll all finish back at the Obey Center for a light picnic lunch (provided).

It all begins at the Obey Center at the Chippewa Moraine at 9 AM. We expect to be done at mid-day. Bring your water, snack, gloves, water-resistant footwear, and plan for ticks. There are still areas of snow, so plan to walk through snow and standing water.

Note change in meeting location to Obey Center. Also note Hwy 124 is closed. Deer Fly Trail is closed as well. Take Hwy 53 to Bloomer, then 40 to Hwy M, to Obey Center.

Please register your intention to attend via this email link.

See below for the Deer Fly Trail trailhead location and directions.
