Dane County Chapter – Burn Brush Piles at Hwys 69 and A
January 31 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
It’s time to light the brush piles stacked near the entrance of the trail off the bike path. Several weed trees are still standing, so we will need swampers to help move them onto the brush piles with some loppering needed.
At this point, we have one sawyer and two swampers. It’s likely the main work will conclude by 1 with fire watching as the main activity after that.
Please bring work gloves and wear long sleeves to protect against the brush. If you need work gloves or protective eye glasses, let me know. If you like the warmth of a fire, you should be wearing wool or cotton as an outer layer. Fleece and synthetics will melt as a spark hit them. A sweatshirt on top of these will provide good protection.
Let me know if you can come so I can have enough tools available.
