Dane County Chapter – Lodi Marsh Trail Improvement Day
July 6 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
This weekend we are going to continue weeding the remnant prairies on Center Bluff in the Lodi Marsh State Wildlife Area on Saturday, July 6th.
It’s time to cut yellow sweet clover and remove wild parsnip and curly dock from the prairies. We have a variety of tasks to do to clean the prairies of the invasive weeds. Help us continue our work of improving these prairie restoration areas and enjoy the blooming native prairie flowers .
Organizer, Gary Werner, will bring hand tools, parsnip predators, and brush cutters.
Bring plenty of water and food for yourself, work gloves, and a sun hat. Gary will also bring some food and drink to share.
MEET: 9:00 AM on Saturday in the Ice Age Trail parking lot with the kiosk on Lodi-Springfield Road in the Lodi Marsh State Wildlife Area in the Town of Dane (Directions here).
Look for yellow Ice Age Trail Event signs to confirm parking lot.
Please call Gary at 608-249-2421 to let him know you are planning to join him.
