Dane County Chapter – Trail Improvement Day – Liebetrau Prairie

July 7 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

HELP REMOVE INVASIVE PLANTS FROM PRAIRIES AT LIEBETRAU PRAIRIE

This weekend we are going to continue weeding the planted Liebetrau Prairie on Sunday.  This is the time to cut yellow sweet clover and remove wild parsnip and curly dock from the prairies.  We have a variety of tasks to do to clean the prairies of the invasive weeds.  Help us continue our work of improving these prairie restoration areas and enjoy the blooming native prairie flowers .

Organizer, Gary Werner, will bring hand tools, parsnip predators, and brush cutters.

Bring plenty of water and food for yourself, work gloves, and a sun hat.  Gary will bring some food and drink to share.

MEET: 9:00 AM on Sunday in the new Ice Age Trail parking lot at the Liebetrau Prairie down the hill on Pine Road in the Town of Berry (Directions here).
