Dane – Prairie Moraine

March 2 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

This coming Tuesday March 2nd there will be a “special” workday at Prairie Moraine County Park in cooperation with Prairie Moraine Friends.

We’ll plan to clear and burn the tops of a couple of large oaks that fell in storms several years ago in the Ravine section of the park.  Chain sawyers and “swampers” are both needed.  We’ve spent much of the winter preparing this area for the spring burn by clearing dead and downed trees.  This will open up the views and sunlight to the area!

Meet at 9:00 am at the big Prairie Moraine parking lot at the end of Wesner Road (the dog park lot).  The weather is forecast to be “warm and sunny” – can’t beat that!  We’ll probably be mostly done by noon and just tending fires after that.

RSVP so we can plan: Dave Lonsdorf:  [email protected]
