We’ll continue  clearing invasive brush and unwanted trees to uncover prairie remnants and restore the landscape to a time when fire was part of the ecosystem.  We also may prepare firebreaks for a spring burn.  Besides hand work, there will be work for trained chain sawyers with proper protective gear.  We’ll burn some slash piles if there’s snow cover, and cook lunch over the coals.  Wear old clothing made of natural fibers to work around fires.  Contact leader for more details.  Meet at the Twin Pines lot on Lodi Springfield Rd (map/directions).
