Last winter we made great progress clearing cedar, buckthorn and honeysuckle on the south edge of this property, an old farmstead.  We’ll continue our clearing eastward.  We’ll have plenty of work for chain sawyers with proper PPE and training, swampers to haul and pile the slash for future burning, and volunteers to treat the stumps with herbicide.  Old clothes made of natural fibers are a good idea in case we can burn a slash pile.  Closest parking to the work area is the old Hwy 12 right-of-way instead of the Ballweg Rd lot.
