This Monday, January 18th — Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday we will continue our restoration of the prairie savanna in the Shoveler’s Sink section of the Cross Plains Ice Age National Scientific Reserve at Timber Lane and Mineral Point Road.  This section of the Cross Plains Reserve is managed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.  We will remove scattered trees and shrubs in the eastern side of Shoveler’s Sink and pile them for future processing.  Tom Wise will lead this workday.

MEET: 9:00 AM Monday. The parking lot is a postage stamp so please park on Summerfield Drive which intersects Timber Lane about 1/4 mile north of Mineral Point Road in the Town of Cross Plains. Carefully walk across Timber Lane to the parking lot.

To participate please register with Tom Wise – wise@physics.wisc.edu –so we can have enough tools to use.
