We will continue our ongoing restoration work at this site.  We’ll cut and pile brush and weed trees along the woods edge of the northwest corner of the planted prairie, where we started several brush piles last fall.  If conditions permit, we may use several higher clearance vehicles to haul volunteers and gear up the hill from the Hickory Hill St gate to the worksite a half-mile in.  Besides hand work, there will be work for trained chain sawyers with proper protective gear.  We’ll burn some slash piles if there’s snow cover, and cook lunch over the coals.  Wear old clothing made of natural fibers to work around fires.  Contact leader for more details.
