Dane – Brush Control on Anderson Preserve @ Cross Plains
April 10 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
With the rain predicted for Wednesday evening through Friday we have an opportunity to continue our work to remove invasive shrubs and trees and consolidate slash piles in the Andersen Preserve on the bluff above Cross Plains this Saturday, April 10th. This work will improve the fire break and burn unit for when we are able to burn this Preserve later this spring.
Bring work gloves, sturdy boots, safety glasses, a face mask if you are using one, long-sleeve shirt, and plenty of water and food. We do observe “social distancing” etiquette.
Chainsaws, brush cutters, leaf blowers, and leaf rakes will be helpful tools to bring if you have them.
MEET: Saturday at 9:00 AM at the end of Hickory Hill Street in Cross Plains. You can reach this meeting point by traveling USH 14 west in Cross Plains to Hickory Street. Turn right on Hickory Street and follow it north for several blocks to the intersection with Hickory Hill Street. Turn left on Hickory Hill Street and follow it for one block to the meeting location.
Please RSVP to confirm that you can help on Saturday. Gary Werner 608-249-2421 home
