Dane – Swamplovers, Table Bluff segment
March 8, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
A few of you have already been volunteering at Swamplovers, but for the rest of you, we have a new opportunity! As you might know, the 420 acre Swamplovers Preserve was recently donated to the Alliance and is our largest preserve. This winter, Chris (from the Alliance) has been working to remove trees and brush, and expand savanna, on Swamplovers eastern bluff. With the snow melting, we are joining the rush to get brush piles burned and are looking for help next week Monday, March 8th. We will meet at the Swamplovers shed off of Hwy KP at 9:30am.
Feel free to share this with other Dane County Stewardship Volunteers. Swampers and sawyers would both be appreciated for this project, as there are more trees and brush to clear.
Please respond to Chris to let him know if you can make it: [email protected]
Directions: From Hwy 14, take Hwy KP north for about 1.5 miles until you see a large Swamplovers sign above a driveway on the left. Take the drive until you see the first outbuilding.
If you will be joining us for the first time at an event and you are not an Ice Age Trail Alliance member, please fill out the fillable Volunteer Services Agreement Form and email it (along with any questions) to Dan Watson, ([email protected]).
