We now have the necessary land rights to build trail between Bourbon Rd on the south side of Cross Plains and Hwy P to the east.  The next step is to clear invasive brush and unwanted trees so that we can build a sustainable tread for people to walk.  It starts today!  We’ll need properly equipped and trained chain sawyers plus swampers to haul and pile the cuttings.  If we have snow cover, we’ll burn slash piles and cook lunch on the coals.  Wear old clothes made of natural fibers to minimize spark damage from fires.  The meeting site is nearly opposite the Cross Plains fire station.
