Exploring the Ice Age National Scenic Trail – Lester Public Library

September 28, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Presentation: Trek the Ice Age Trail

As the Ice Age Trail Alliance kicks off the third annual Mammoth Hike Challenge during the month of October, join Lakeshore Chapter Volunteer Dolly McNaulty for an introductory presentation about exploring and hiking the Ice Age National Scenic Trail hosted by the Lester Public Library in Two Rivers.

One of only 11 National Scenic Trails in the country, the Ice Age Trail is a 1,200 mile long footpath found entirely within the state of Wisconsin. The Trail traces the terminal moraine of the glacier from the most recent Ice Age 15,000 years ago.

We’ll highlight tips and tricks for day hiking and backpacking, along with plenty of resources to get you started.
