Exploring the Ice Age National Scenic Trail – Verona Public Library

September 28, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Presentation

As the Ice Age Trail Alliance kicks off the third annual Mammoth Hike Challenge during the month of October, join Dane County Chapter Volunteer Mark Graczykowski for an introductory presentation to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.

One of only 11 National Scenic Trails in the country, Wisconsin is blessed with a 1,200 mile long footpath that winds through our glacial landscape. From Potawatomi State Park in Door County to Interstate Park just over the St. Croix River from Minnesota, several of the Ice Age Trail’s best miles are located right here in Verona.

We’ll highlight some of the local hikes and highlights both in Dane County and across Wisconsin to get everyone in attendance ready for a journey along the yellow blazes.
