We’ll start the trailbuilding season with a Triple-Header to get ahead of oak wilt and bird nesting seasons. We will lay the groundwork for tread construction to follow later in the year. Corridor clearing provides an entertaining Trail workday for the whole family; a wide range of ages and skills can get a thrill wielding a handsaw or clippers while spring flowers are still finding their path through the snow.

April 7-8 (Fri-Sat), Corridor Clearing taking place at three simultaneous events across the state.
1. Ringle Segment, Marathon County
2. Firth Lake Segment, Chippewa County
3. Walla Hi Segment, Manitowoc County (includes {optional} Chainsaw Safety training – application required)

For this event, we’ve arranged for an indoor camping opportunity on Friday evening at Camp Nawakwa for those wishing to participate both days of the event. The Camp is heated and has bathrooms and a full kitchen. Bring your pad/mattress, sleeping bag, and pillow for the overnight “slumber party.” White noise machines optional. We’ll provide lunch (both days) and Saturday breakfast for participants. Dinner will be ‘on your own’ or we’ll arrange a pot-luck.

No previous experience is necessary; training is provided by certified volunteer crew leaders. There will be roles for all ages and abilities.
