Indianhead Chapter – Polk County – Indian Creek Segment Hike

You are invited to join Indianhead Chapter members on a hike along the Indian Creek Segment. The segment passes through thick forests and a high-relief hummocky area, created when sand and gravel, carried by under-the-ice rivers and streams, were left behind after the ice sheet melted. Plan to be challenged by the steep climbs and descents and wowed by the long views.
When: Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Time: 8:30 am to help arrange shuttle; 9:00 am to hike.
Trailhead: 50th Street (County O). View start location on Hiker Resource map. GPS location [ Longitude -92.2585; Latitude 45.676]
Features of hike: View NEW rock placements, benches, and boardwalk!!!
Distance: From 50th Street (County O) to 30th Street is approximately 3 miles; continue to 15th St. (County E) for an approximately 6-mile hike.

What to bring: Masks, sturdy shoes, bug spray, water, hand sanitizer, lunch, and your smiles.
