Langlade Chapter Hike

Hike a portion of the Ice Age Trail in Langlade County . Meet in front of Langlade County Forestry Office, Fairgrounds, Antigo, Wisconsin.

Participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing and bring a lunch. Transportation to the trail head north of Antigo will be provided from the fairgrounds.

The fairgrounds is located along US 45 on the north edge of Antigo.

The September hike will be a 5 mile trek on a new portion of the Old Railroad segment recently rerouted through the Jack Lake Cross Country Ski Trail Area by chapter volunteers. The stretch winds through a scenic landscape shaped by the massive sheet of ice over 10,000 years ago.

Another portion of the segment will be rerouted through the Ventor Lake area as a Mobile Skills Crew project. More information and registration for the October 9th-14th trail building project is available at the alliance’s Mobile Skills Crew web page.
