Mammoth Hike Challenge: Hike and Hiker Meet-Up in Cornell

October 9 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Mammoth Hike Challenge

As part of the Mammoth Hike Challenge, join the Chippewa Moraine Chapter for a hike on the Chippewa River Segment and hiker meet-up in Cornell.

Come to the Cornell  and join us for a family-friendly guided hike on the Chippewa River Segment. The Chippewa River Segment is 1.9 miles long and we will hike it as an “In and Back”. The segment travels high above the Chippewa River with views of Brunet Island State Park. Then it crosses the road and travels through the Krank Preserve where it meanders through the woods with creek crossings and hills. The trail passes along Perch Lake, a kettle lake, which is a popular fishing spot. The Fall Colors will be in their full glory for our hike. Park in the CTH CC parking lot and be ready to hike by 10:00 am.

Trail access: From Cornell, take STH 64 West across the Chippewa River. At CTH CC turn right and go north 2.1 miles. A large parking lot is located on the side of the road. Ice Age Trail Atlas map 16 and 17. 45.1879585, -91.1730272
