Join the friendly folks from the Marathon County Chapter for a snowshoe hike on the Ice Age Trail’s spectacular Plover River Segment.

We’ll hike the upland moraine, down into the beautiful (oversized) Plover River valley, back onto upland glacial features and a (now collapsed) ice walled lake plain. We’ll continue as far as we’d like (up to 2 ½ miles), then return to the trailhead via our freshly packed route. Hot beverages will be provided afterwards.

(For hearty souls who’d like more, the trail continues for an additional 3 miles to the north. You’re welcome to tackle that section on your own.)

We’ll meet at the junction of Village Road and Highland Drive, west of Aniwa in eastern Marathon County. Click here for driving directions.
