#OptOutside Hike – Ice Age Trail at Indian Lake
November 29, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Join the fun on Black Friday (November 29) for a hike on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail at Indian Lake County Park, Dane County. We are planning to complete the 2.9 miles of Ice Age Trail as well as adding an additional portion of park trail for about a 4-mile hike in total.
We will plan to meet in the parking lot of the park at 9:30 am and head out on the Trail at 10:00 am. Indian Lake County Park is a Dane County Park with a large parking lot, shelter (water is turned off) and pit toilets.
Dress for the weather – layer and good walking shoes (it could be muddy). The hike is in a county park but it is also deer hunting season so consider wearing a bright color. We will bring some water to ensure everyone has something to drink but please bring your own as well. If you would like to bring a snack to share as well, it would be appreciated by your fellow hikers!
This hike is being hosted by Thousand Miler WannaBes Sean Emmerich and Mike Butterbrodt. It is a fun way to meet up and get outside! It can be a great way to meet other hikers to partner up with for shuttle and/or future hikes together as well. It will be a very casual outing at a slow pace to accommodate all who join us.
You can RSVP for this hike at the Facebook Event.
