Parade of Colors Hike – Chippewa Moraine Chapter
October 2, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
Experience the colors, smells, and sights of fall on the Ice Age Trail at the annual Parade of Colors event on Saturday morning, Oct. 2. Bring your family or a friend, name your desired distance to hike, and you’ll be whisked off to the starting point for a one-way hike back to the Obey Interpretive Center through the beauty of fall at the Chippewa Moraine. Refreshments await, bring your lunch, and extend your visit at the center or on the trail. Masks will be required for the shuttles.
Arrive between 9 and 11 a.m. at the Obey Interpretive Center near New Auburn to begin your hike. For more information, contact: [email protected]
Be sure to stop in to the Obey Center after your hike. There are wonderful displays of the animals of Chippewa County, including live animals that you can ask to hold. They have wonderful interactive displays showing the glacial features in our area. Ask about their videos about the Ice Age and the Ice Age Trail. Kids will enjoy their age-leveled scavenger hunts that feature items displayed there.
