RECONNECT: Baraboo Hills/Heritage Chapter – Creating Passable Trail in Sauk County

Ice Age Trail, Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Reconnect, Trail Improvement Days

Join members of the Baraboo Hills/Heritage Chapter as they mow and make passable popular Ice Age Trail segments in Sauk County: Sauk Point and Devil’s Lake (at Roznos Meadow).

Crews of 2-3 will fan out to mow, brush back the Trail, and improve signage. Tools, equipment, and PPE will be provided.

Bring your own food and water for the day.

When: Wednesday, September 2; 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

What to expect/what to bring/what to wear:

  • We will have a physically-distanced, COVID-aware work site;
  • Tools, equipment, and PPE will be provided;
  • Bring your own food and water;
  • boots preferred; closed-toe shoes and socks required;
  • long pants;
  • long or short-sleeved shirt (bring both);
  • leather work gloves;
  • hat (optional);
  • leather work gloves;
  • hand sanitizer;
  • sunscreen and bug spray.
