Trail Improvement Work Day-Lodi Valley Chapter
June 12 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pmFREE
Greetings Trail friends!
Join us for our next trail improvement event on Saturday, June 12th. We will meet at the Merrimac Ferry Wayside on Hwy 113 (https://goo.gl/maps/5SdNk) at 9 am and work until about 2 pm or so. Come for as long or as short a time as you like.
Our tasks for the day include some final touches to the renovation of the stone steps leading up to the Steenbock Preserve, rehabilitating some trail tread, and beginning the improvements of the first climbing turn that includes building some short sections of tread and stone work. This is a slightly longer day than usual because of two things: one is the stonework and the other is that we will be taking some extra time for instruction and training you, the volunteers.
All tools needed will be provided. Wear long sleeves and sturdy shoes. Bring work gloves, water, a lunch if you are staying until the end, probably bug dope since it is that time of year, and an energetic attitude!
Questions? Feel free to contact Bill at 843-3926or [email protected]

As a valued volunteer with the Ice Age Trail we thank you. We want you to know of an important action you need to take before July 2021 to ensure that you have a completed Individual Volunteer Agreement established with the National Park Service for continuing your valued work on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The volunteer agreement guarantees that you have access to important safety information and work guidance. The volunteer agreement also extends the same protections to you for injury coverage that federal employees receive, should you become injured while performing approved volunteer activities
