Trailbuilding: Lodi Marsh Segment, Columbia and Dane Counties
April 7 @ 8:00 am - April 9 @ 4:30 pm
Boardwalk building crews from the Lodi Valley and Dane County Chapters invite you to join them April 7 – 9 for a project along the Lodi Marsh Segment. The event will reroute the Ice Age Trail toward more exciting views, and a brand-new boardwalk will eliminate a perennially muddy section on this well-loved segment.
Come prepared to help fasten deck boards on what could become a 371-foot-long boardwalk spanning the mud. This project aims to improve the hiking experience: keeping boots dry and offering better views of Center Bluff and the spring-fed Lodi Marsh.
All Talents and Abilities Welcome!
As with all Ice Age Trail events, no experience is necessary. There’s a role for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Hands-on training provided by certified and friendly volunteer crew leaders will help you get started immediately.
To help us plan this event with your needs in mind, please register by Wednesday March 30, 2022.
Event is Full
Your contribution of time and energy is welcome for any part of the event. Registration is limited to approximately 30 volunteers per day, so don’t delay your registration!
