Virtual Presentation: Hiking the Ice Age Trail

December 2, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

A Walk Across Wisconsin: Hiking the Ice Age National Scenic Trail

This past October marked the 40th anniversary of the US Congress naming the Ice Age Trail as one of our nation’s National Scenic Trails. Between 2018 and 2019 Kevin Quinn section hiked the Trail’s entire 1,100+ miles, which stretches in Sturgeon Bay to St. Croix Falls following the ending point, or terminal moraine, of the last glacier that pushed through Wisconsin 15,000 years ago.

Kevin’s virtual program will describe his experience and lay out the characteristics and challenges that make the Ice Age Trail unique among the nation’s current 11 National Scenic Trails.
