Waushara County Chapter’s “Walk the Waush” Challenge
June 1 - August 19
Challenge yourself, family, friends, and co-workers to lace up their walking shoes and walk as many miles as you can in 80 days and become eligible for awards and prizes.
To encourage healthy activities for both mind and body and explore Waushara County’s beautiful parks and trails.
About the Challenge:
Challenge is open to Walkers, Runners, and Hikers of all ages
and abilities. You can enter as an Individual or as a Team (maximum of 4 per team).
All participants are eligible for awards and prizes. You must complete a minimum of 10 miles. Points will be awarded based on total miles completed. Those points will be converted into tickets and entered into a drawing for prizes.

Instructions: All participants should have their own booklet and record their miles on the log sheet inside the booklet. Pick up your booklet at the following locations:
Your local Library
Waushara County Chamber of Commerce Office, 440 W Main St, Wautoma or 24/7 Information Kiosks in Wautoma, Wild Rose, and Plainfield
Waushara County Health Department, 230 W Park St, Wautoma

Only Trails in the booklet are eligible to use for the Challenge. Awards will be given out to the highest total mileage for an Individual and Team entered.
Points awarded for miles completed:
(10-20, 1 point)
(20-35, 2 points)
(35-50, 3 points)
(50-65, 4 points)
(65+, 5 points)
Earn an Extra Point: One additional point will be awarded for walking 6 or more different trails or trail portions. The Individual with the highest total miles will receive (1) additional point.
Drawings and awards will be presented at the post-challenge walk, “Let’s Light Up the Night,” sponsored by the Ice Age Trail Alliance. It will be held on August 25th at Willow Creek Park at 7pm. Click here LETS LIGHT UP FLYER WTW 2 for Event flyer.
All log sheets must be returned by August 23rd to the health department in order to be eligible!
