Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Annual Meeting with a Hiker Presentation, Potluck and Hike
January 5 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Annie Weiss will be our featured speaker at the start of the day. She completed the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in 21 days, 18 hours and 7 minutes, running 50 miles/day on average and is currently the record-holder for both men and women. Annie will be sharing her experiences on the IANST. Watch a video that chronicles Annie’s journey here.
Following her presentation, we will take a break for lunch. We will have a potluck, with chili being the main dish. Please bring something to pass (appetizers, dessert, snacks, beverages) to pass. NOTE: Please contact Judy Rose at email@example.com to let her know what you are bringing to the potluck, so we can plan accordingly. The facility has a kitchen with stove and refrigerator and plenty of outlets. Plates and utensils will be provided by the chapter, but if your dish requires a serving utensil, please bring it along.
At the Annual Membership Meeting, members present will approve the frequency of Chapter meetings, and types of activities to be engaged in during the year. Some events are already calendared, and they will be discussed. We will talk about highlights from 2018 and elect Chapter Officers. The Chapter Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer positions are only open to current Members of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. If you are not a current member, and wish to be nominated for one of these positions, please consider joining today!
We currently have vacancies for the following:
Chapter Coordinator – The Chapter Coordinator shall conduct business meetings and have general charge and supervision of the affairs of the Chapter, shall serve as the primary contact person on behalf of the Alliance for the local Chapter, shall act as the communication conduit to Chapter officers, Alliance Staff and committee chairs, and shall perform or delegate other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Chapter or Alliance.
Secretary – The Secretary shall record and distribute minutes of official Chapter meetings, issue meeting notices, distribute Chapter correspondence, coordinate the distribution of committee reports as needed, and maintain other non-financial Chapter records.
The meeting is open to the public and everyone is welcome, but only members are allowed to vote.
Following the meeting, we will be offering a hike on the property. Anyone participating in the hike is doing so at his/her own risk.
