Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Trail Improvement
June 25 @ 5:30 pm
Event details: We will be working on switchbacks that have eroded over time. Rocks will need to be added to the corners to support them and swales will be added to improve drainage, so the trail is sustainable.
- We recommend a long-sleeve shirt, pants and hat for trail work.
- Plan for variable weather – bring a few layers of clothing and rain gear if the weather is questionable.
- Sturdy hiking or work boots (no tennis shoes) and leather work gloves.
- A bottle of water, backpack, insect repellent, sunscreen
No previous experience is necessary; training is provided by certified volunteer crew leaders. There will be roles for all ages and abilities. Tools will be provided.
If this is your first time volunteering for the Ice Age Trail Alliance, or you haven’t filled out a 301a Volunteer Agreement form, please download the form and bring it with you to the workday.
An RSVP to Dave Nelsen by June 24th so he can better plan for this project, would be appreciated.
