Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Trail Improvement
June 5, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Tread needs to be constructed correctly, to prevent water erosion and to provide a pleasant experience for our hikers. It is critical that the path is comfortable to walk on and that no stress to muscles or joints are felt, while using the trail. We will be improving some of the tread in Erin in the Holy Hill section. The hike to the worksite will be approximately 1/2 mile. Tools and training will be provided. Work is available for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Pants and long sleeve shirts are recommended.
Please RSVP to Tom Alberg or 414-406-1102, so we can plan for tools, crew assignments, etc.
DIRECTIONS: – Meet at the parking lot off of Pleasant Hill Road in Erin, just north of Shannon Road and between Kettle Moraine Drive and Cty CC. Click here for driving directions. Watch for yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs. We will walk to the worksite from there.
WHAT TO BRING: Water, sunscreen, insect repellent, leather gloves, sturdy hiking/work boots
