Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Trail Improvement
June 19 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Part of trail maintenance includes mowing, removing fallen trees and invasives like buckthorn, picking up trash, and making sure that the landing areas for bridges are clear. We may also be marking possible paths from the stream to where a future parking lot will be. This is right off of the road, so we will not be walking to a worksite. Tools and training will be provided. Work is available for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Pants, a long sleeve shirt, a hat, leather gloves, and sturdy hiking/work boots are recommended. Please do not wear sneakers or flip flops.
Please RSVP to Tom Alberg or 414-406-1102, so we can plan for tools, crew assignments, etc.
DIRECTIONS: Please meet at Koehn & Koehn Jewelers parking lot in West Bend. Click here for driving directions. Watch for yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs. We will walk to the worksite from there.
WHAT TO BRING: Water, insect repellent, sunscreen
