Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Trail Improvement
May 7 @ 5:30 pm
Event details: We will be working to improve the tread and hiking experience for our trail users by removing large roots and some rocks that are making this area difficult to traverse.
- We recommend a long-sleeve shirt, pants and hat for trail work.
- Plan for variable weather – bring warm layers and rain gear if the weather is questionable.
- Sturdy hiking or work boots (no tennis shoes) and leather work gloves.
- A bottle of water, backpack, insect repellent, sunscreen
No previous experience is necessary; training is provided by certified volunteer crew leaders. There will be roles for all ages and abilities. Tools will be provided.
An RSVP to Dave Nelsen by May 6th so he can better plan for this project, would be appreciated.
Location details: Please meet us just off of Hwy 28 and east of Kewaskum. Click here for directions to the meeting location. Watch for yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs.
