Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter Trail Improvement
May 21 @ 5:30 pm
Event details: The focus of work for this area will be to clear the trail corridor by pruning back woody plants and adding swales to control water and prevent erosion.
- We recommend a long-sleeve shirt, pants and hat for trail work.
- Plan for variable weather – bring warm layers and rain gear if the weather is questionable.
- Sturdy hiking or work boots (no tennis shoes) and leather work gloves.
- A bottle of water, backpack, insect repellent, sunscreen
No previous experience is necessary; training is provided by certified volunteer crew leaders. There will be roles for all ages and abilities. Tools will be provided.
An RSVP to Dave Nelsen by May 20th so he can better plan for this project, would be appreciated.
Location details: We’ll meet up at the Polk Kames parking lot just south of Cty NN (Arthur Rd) in Slinger. Click here for directions to the meeting location. Watch for yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs.
