Washington/Ozaukee Chapter Moonlight Hike at Polk Kames

May 2, 2015 @ 7:00 pm

This hike offers both dense, dark woods and open, moonlit fields. A great mix between both experiences as we hike along the gathering darkness.

The hike is 4.4 miles round trip, including a return to the Kames Loop Trail. Along the kettle ponds, huge maples and open fields, we get a close view of one of the best examples of a Kame swarm in the world.

The hike is rated moderate due to a few hills and the distance. Please bring a flashlight as the woods get dark when the sun goes down and the moon rises.

We will meet at the Department of Natural Resource’s Highway NN parking lot click here for driving directions. A State Park sticker is NOT required.
