Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter Hartland Hike
August 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Please join us on August 14 for our monthly hike of the Ice Age Trail in Hartland! Hikes are led by IAT volunteer Jeff Romagna in partnership with the Hartland Parks and Recreation Department.
Hartland was the first village in Wisconsin to be named an Ice Age Trail community. The Village is committed to its partnership with the Ice Age Trail Alliance and to promoting area residents’ understanding of the history and geology of the IAT.
A 4.7 mile segment of Ice Age Trail passes through Hartland and includes such highlights as the Aldo Leopold Overlook and Cottonwood Wayside, and the John Muir Overlook and Maple Wayside. Other highlights in Hartland include Penbrook Park, Nixon Park, Bark River Park, Hartbrook Park, and Centennial Park.
As always, we will meet at the Hartland Library. Hikers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes/boots. Water and insect repellant are recommended. For more information about the hike, contact Jeff at [email protected]
