Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter Hartland Hike
January 8, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreePlease join us on January 8 for our monthly hike of the Ice Age Trail in Hartland! Hikes are led by IAT volunteer Jeff Romagna in partnership with the Hartland Parks and Recreation Department.
Hartland was the first village in Wisconsin to be named an Ice Age Trail community. A 4.7 mile segment of trail passes through the village and includes highlights such as the Aldo Leopold Overlook, Cottonwood Wayside, the John Muir Overlook and Maple Wayside. Other highlights include include Penbrook Park, Nixon Park, Bark River Park, Hartbrook Park, and Centennial Park.
As always, we will meet at the Hartland Library. Hikers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes/boots. Water is recommended. For more information about the hike, contact Jeff at folkmusic@wi.rr.com
