Waukesha Milwaukee Chapter Tyke Hike

May 19, 2018 @ 10:00 am

Free

Please join us for a special Tyke Hike focused on service-learning on the Hartland Segment of the Ice Age Trail. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend!  On this hike, families will learn about invasive species and then work together to remove garlic mustard, a primary Wisconsin invasive, from the part of the trail adjacent to Hartbrook Park. After work, we will have time for a hike and play. Hartbrook Park is located just north of Hartbrook Drive and is bounded by the Bark River on the west and Rae Drive on the east.

Tyke Hikes are led by Peter Dargatz, a forest kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer. Post-hike educational materials and certificates for children will be provided.
